TURLOCK - The inaugural Central Valley Brewfest takes first June 1 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds from 1 to 5 p.m.

. Over 30 beers from around the world will be showcased at this sampling event. The focus of the Central Valley Brewfest is the promotion of craft brews, great tasting beer, and the folks that create them. The event is a perfect opportunity for beer aficionados, beer lovers, and the casual drinker to speak with many company representatives and brewers who craft their favorite beers.  It is also a chance to experience new brews and ciders. Some of the brands attending (but not limited to) will be Dust Bowl Brewing Company, Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company, 21st Amendment, Anheuser-Busch, Lagunitas IPA, and Alaskan Brewing Company.

Not only will you be able to sample some of the finest hops around, the CV Brewfest will also feature amazing art work from the Peer Recovery Art Project. The local charity from Modesto will feature innovative, creative, and fresh art pieces for purchase. Proceeds will help fund the informally networked "street team" that promotes community-based awareness, mutual aid, and support to the Central Valley.

Tickets to the brewfest are now on sale.  Admission price is $30 in advance and $35 at the door. With a large concern for the safety of attendees, the festival offers a discounted admission for your designated driver for $20. Designated drivers will be allowed water with the run of the festival for fun times with friends. Ticket price includes unlimited sampling, a souvenir tasting mug, admission to the charity art gallery and great music.
