Ripon vs. RC volleyball benefit for Sober Grad

 The Third Annual Ripon High-Ripon Christian Boys’ Sober Grad Volleyball Challenge to benefit post graduation parties for both schools is set for Friday, May 3.

The Ripon High gymnasium is slated to host the cross-town rivalry with the doors opening at 5 p.m. on North Acacia Avenue on the RHS campus.

The Junior Varsity contest will take place at 5:30 followed by the faculty match-up at 6:30.  The Varsity competition on the hardwoods is set for 7:30 p.m.

Entry fee is $4 for students, $7 for adults, $4 for seniors, and children 5 and under are free.

The evening also includes concessions, a raffle and a bake sale.  Ripon Christian holds the trophies for winning all three matches last year.  Students, families and friends are urged to wear their school colors and take part in a fun-filled evening cheering their school on to victory for the 2013 bragging rights.

The Ripon Christian faculty team includes Carie Molloy, Krista Den Dulk, Carla Haveman, Eric Segaar, Kevin Schenk, Justin Unruh, Neil Karsten, Kevin Tameling and Tiger Shelton.

Players for the Ripon High faculty are Rod Wright, Sara Swanson, Sergei Samborski, Mike Morenzone, Jocelyn Swier, Adrienne Uecker, Karen Capel, Janeese Nobles, George Contente and Keith Rangel.
