Vandals trashed part of East Union High School in the predawn hours Saturday morning, smashing out the windshield and four side windows of a pickup truck in the motor pool and spreading human feces on a door and window to a classroom.

The feces were spread on the door of room 38 and pellet holes were found in windows of the classroom and one shot went into the attendance office, police said.  The carpet in the teachers’ lounge had been covered with fire extinguisher retardant.

A nearby tree on the campus was covered with paper towels.

The incident occurred sometime after 11 p.m. Friday night when the custodians went off duty and 7 a.m. Saturday morning when the vandalism was discovered.  The case is under investigation with the evidence left in the DNA that was spread at the scene.
