Cindy Mandeville, 48, passed away at her home in Oxnard on September 17, 2009 after a five month battle with ovarian cancer.

Cindy graduated from Manteca High School in the late ‘70s and later worked for her dad Bill Mandeville in his State Farm Insurance business on Center Street during part of her college days.

She was born in Oakland, on October 17, 1960 and had lived in Oxnard for seven years, moving from Bakersfield in September 2002. She was a registered nurse and worked as the coordinator for the Tuberculosis Control for Ventura County.

Cindy was very supportive of the missionary program at her church and supported many charities too numerous to mention. She enjoyed yard work and gardening and she traveled to many countries throughout the world pursuing continuing education credits to further her career in nursing.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Annabelle Mandeville. She is survived by her father, Bill Mandeville of Oxnard; uncles, Robert J. Mandeville of Walnut Creek, CA and Keith Stoner of Pt Huron, MI; Aunts, Dorothy Rowe of Pt. Huron, MI, Joyce Stoner of Pt. Huron, MI and Louise Mandeville of Grass Valley, CA; cousins, Ralph D. Mandeville of Grass Valley, CA, Vickie Stoner of Colutta, GA, Steven Stoner of Pt. Huron, MI, Diane Stoner of Pt. Huron, MI, David Stoner of Farmington Hills, MI and her second cousin Rebecca Mandeville of Grass Valley, CA.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Cindy Mandeville was held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston St., Ventura, CA 93003.

Donations may be made in memory of Cindy Mandeville to the Ventura Baptist Church, Attn: Missionary Program. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home. (805) 642-8134.
