The Ripon Christian Middle School Band played the processional as some 70 eighth graders marched into the Ripon Christian High School gymnasium Thursday night to receive their diplomas of graduation for nine years of study.

The opening prayer was offered by School Superintendent Kerry Manus after talking with the students, followed by class speaker Jack Weaver, a member of the graduating class himself.  An inspirational address was offered by Mr. Greg Cady and the student awards were presented by K-8 Principal MaryAnn Sybesma.

Diplomas were presented by board members Michael Beidleman, Sue Eastham, Becky Hoekstra, Kevin Prins, Linda Scholten and Bryan Van Groningen as the class song “One Thing Remains” followed in the ceremonies.

The 17 middle school teachers sat in the audience and watched as their students graduated taking them on to high school.  Most will attend Ripon Christian High located on the same campus on Maple Avenue in Ripon.
