This project includes the documentary HOME, a featured exhibition Fire Sale (Everything Must Go), and the project catalog Fire Sale, A Guide to Coping with Home Loss in the 21st Century. On Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. HOME will be screened in the Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis Theatre followed by an opening reception for the exhibition Fire Sale (Everything Must Go) in the Grand Galleries.

The exhibit will be on display from June 8 – July 20. Ms. Klint will offer a Gallery Talk on Saturday, July 13, from noon to 2 p.m. All of these associated events are free and open to the public; seating is limited on a first-come/first-serve bases. Gourmet hospitality is provided with the generous underwriting support of  the Grand Foundation.

Anne Klint has served as Artist-In-Residence at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts since October of 2012. Traveling throughout Tracy, she invited residents, business owners, and community leaders to participate in a media-based project exploring the stories and impact of the ongoing economic depression and housing crisis in our community. Dozens of individuals, organizations, and businesses joined Anne as creative partners. The culmination of her work is a documentary and exhibition that captures a multitude of personal recollections presented through the visionary tools of an artist. This project provides intimate reference points exploring what we’ve been through, and where we might be going as a community, as well as how these historic events continue to impact our quality of life.
