Michelle Ruth Olguin, 50, passed away at home on September 1, 2009 with her daughter at her side. She was born on August 12, 1959 in Oakland, CA to Barbara (Mann) Britt. She was then raised by her grandparents, Wilma R Diaz, and Henry A Diaz who she called “Daddy.” Michelle was baptized Catholic and attended Catholic School in Milpitas, CA.

A resident of Manteca for the past 15 years Michelle worked for The Wine Group in Ripon, CA as a foreman for 5 years. She leaves behind her loving partner of 26 years Juanita Carrillo. Children; Erica Bristow and husband Jerod of Modesto, Carlos and Carmen Carrillo of Manteca, Sammy Carrillo and wife Michelle of Ceres, Michael Carrillo, Racsel Carrillo, and Eko Carillo all of Manteca. Siblings; Joseph “Joey” Pena and wife Christina, Rick Britt and wife Liane, Ronald Britt and Donald Britt. She also leaves behind eleven adoring grandchildren and her two chiwahwahs Daisy Mae and Beauty.

Michelle was an amazing woman with a heart made of gold. She had an outstanding personality; sweet, gentle, caring and forgiving. Always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need; her helpfulness never came with a price and her love was always unconditional.  A very frugal woman she cherished the simple things in life; rocking in her chair, shopping at thrift stores and yard sales, and trying to teaching Carlos all her shopping “skills”. She also enjoyed cooking and watching TV; she especially loved “Law & Order” and all the cooking shows, “Emeril” being her favorite.

Michelle fought cancer as hard as she could, never losing her thoughtfulness, faith or patients. During her battle she continued to put others needs before her own. Though we didn’t want to let you go and we’ll miss you dearly, we have comfort knowing you are now with your creator. We love you Michelle; you’ll forever be in our hearts as our treasured mommy, mom, LuLu, Shell, Shelly and Ruth. Your generous heart will live on through the many lives you have touched and for many years to come great things will emerge in your name.

Mrs. Olguin was preceded in death by her sister, Denise (Britt) McCreary, mother, Barbara Britt and son Jesse Carrillo. In honoring her wishes all funeral services were private. Memorial contributions can be sent in her name to The American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
