Elementary vice principal promotion is approved by

Ann Jayne, instructional coach at El Dorado School in the Stockton Unified School District, was approved for a vice principal position in the Manteca Unified School District by the Board of Trustees at their last meeting.

 Previous to her work in Stockton Unified, Jayne was an intermediate teacher for 10 years in the Tracy Unified School District.

Jayne received her bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. She later received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Pacific. She possesses a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Administrative Services credential.

As a teacher in the Tracy Unified School District, she served as a teacher leader in the staff development department, and as an intermediate grade GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) teacher. She facilitated the creation of professional Learning Communities, coordinated and provided staff development related to research-based strategies, and served as a mentor to teachers in the Peer Assistance and Review program. Additionally, she held many leadership roles in Tracy including interim assistant principal, summer school coordinator, and language arts specialist.
