Jewell Ann (Busser) Goodman, 78, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Modesto. She was born April 12, 1931 in Bastrop, LA. She lived in Modesto for 30 years and Tracy for 25 years.

Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Service is handling services, 513 12th St., Modesto (492-9222.) Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12, at 2 p.m. at the Community Worship Center at 1442 Tully Road, Modesto.

Jewell was a member of Community Worship Center. Her life was dedicated to Jesus Christ. She liked to cook for her family and host family gatherings in her home. She was a former member of The First Presbyterian Church in Tracy. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for H.J. Heinz and Helen Walters Bookkeeping.

She is survived by her husband, Maynard Goodman. Children, Bob Busser (Sharan) of Manteca, Roger Busser of Stockton, Michael Busser (Ruth) of Merced, Phil Busser (Rebecca) of Hilo HI, Lee Goodman of Oakdale, Kenneth Goodman of Modesto. Survived by her sister Velda Cutler of Modesto; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the late Donald R. Busser Sr. and her parents, the late Jewell and Ida Jacob of Stockton.
