Janice Virginia Seib, 65, passed peacefully away on Thursday, October 1, 2009.

Her devoted family was by her side as she lost her battle with cancer. She was born February 19, 1944 in San Diego, California to the late Charles and Jean Ward. A resident of Manteca for the past 13 years, she worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 15 years before retiring.

Janice leaves behind her six loving children; Jon Brandt Jr. of Salinas; Jeff Brandt of Las Vegas, NV; Julie Serrano of Manteca; Joana Whittingham of Pittsburg, CA; James Brandt of Manteca and Jennifer Lopez of Antioch, CA and seven treasured grandchildren; Christine Carson, Michael McGann, Justin Brandt, Alexandra Elder, Jenessa Serrano, Jax Brandt and Elijah Lopez. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren.

Janice was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them, especially the grandchildren; always looking forward to the fun and laughter they’d share together. She loved music and dancing and took great joy from the little things in life. The great outdoors was Jan’s favorite place to be; whether it was soaking up the sun, listening to the falling rain, the rushing of the rivers or the beauty of the mountains and the sun setting on the beaches edge.

Those who knew her loved her dearly and she will forever be remembered and missed.  In following with Jan’s wishing there will be no services. Arrangements are be handled by P.L.
