The Manteca Mural Society’s Art in the Park project is now on display at the Manteca Library.

Under the guidance of artist Terri Pasquini, children participating in the Art in the Park project in June produced a flight of hundreds of butterflies.

Pasquini cut out the forms for the butterflies, and then local area children painted them. After hanging them out to dry, they were laminated, cut out, and antennas were glued on. A small group got together and attached the butterflies to the walls and ceiling of the Children’s Section of the Manteca Library.

Children who want to see their own brightly colored butterfly are encouraged to go into the library and follow the swirling patterns of the butterflies until they find their own masterpiece.
