Women’s connection luncheon Wednesday

The Manteca Convention & Visitors’s next Women’s Connection quarterly luncheon is Wednesday, Oct. 21. It is co-sponsored by Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Lars P. Enevoldsen, M.D. and Bradley D. Tourlotte, M.D.

The luncheon’s featured speaker is conflict resolution specialist Francine Poelstra. Poelstra has been with the San Joaquin Mediation Center since 2000.

The Women’s Connection Luncheon is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Emory, 1028 W. Yosemite Avenue, Manteca. The $25 ticket includes lunch, tradeshow and networking opportunity as well as the speaker presentation. One lucky attendee will also walk away with the conference’s grand prize, a piece of jewelry, courtesy of New York Diamonds in Manteca.

Sierra Boosters
dinner on Oct. 24

The Sierra High School Athletic Booster Dinner/Dance is Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 p.m. to midnight at the MRPS Hall, 133 N. Grant St.

Tickets are $30 per person.  You must be 21 or older to attend.

New Haven rib
dinner Nov. 7

New Haven School Community Club is having their annual Rib Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Nov.7, at the MRPS Hall, 133 N. Grant St.

All-you-can-eat ribs by Fagundes, baked potatoes, salad, bread and wine are included in the price. There also will be a raffle plus silent and live auctions; No host cocktails are from 6 to 7 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are $30 per person (21 and older only) and are available at the school office at 14600 S. Austin Road or by calling Cyndi Ward at 823-0502.

Military families
support group

The Manteca Military Families’ mission is to provide support to one another and support loved ones serving their country.

They meet once a month, on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the American Legion McFall Grisham Post #249, 220 E. Yosemite Ave., Manteca. The next meeting is Oct. 20.

Membership is open to family members of active duty military personnel from the Manteca/Ripon/Lathrop area serving in the states and around the world. They also welcome family members of National Guard and Reserve troops currently deployed overseas.

Friends of the
Manteca Library

The Friends of the Manteca Library will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 9:30 a.m. in the library. Since the Library is not open at that time, please knock on the door for admittance. All interested community members are invited.
