The 2013 Stanislaus County Fair offers new showstoppers for food loving aficionados.

Whether you’re looking for all-American corn dogs, apple pie or one of the many cultural temptations including chile verde burritos or Assyrian delicacies, the Stanislaus County Fair will have more than 31 concessionaries and six new vendors that will tantalize anyone’s taste buds.

“We’re trying to really celebrate and highlight all the local foods we have here,” said fair spokesperson Adrenna Alkhas.

New vendor Big Bubba’s Bad BBQ, based out of Paso Robles, is going natural when it comes all things BBQ. The booth will be selling turkey legs, ribs, tri tip and shredded pork sandwiches.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Stanislaus County Fair this year and showcase our delicious barbecue items,” said owner Susan Farias. “We pride ourselves in quality and we guarantee our booth will have the best food available at the fair.”

Looking to fill that sweet tooth? Turlock’s own Cupcake Lady will make its debut appearance at the fair with over 15 flavors including favorites chili chocolate, pink champagne, and bacon maple – made with real bacon.

“We couldn’t be happier to be a part of the fair this year,” said owner Steve Fraga. “For people who haven’t heard about us or tried any of our delicious cupcakes, they will finally get the chance to get their hands on these special treats.”

The Cupcake Lady mascot will also be in the action this year at the fair.

“We have an advantage over other vendors; we are one of the few who will be selling dessert,” said Fraga.

Other new vendors at the fair include: Lucky 7 Concession, serving deep fried burgers on a stick; New Orleans Catering, offering jambalaya and seafood gumbo; Munch-a-Bunch, with Indian fry bread; and Crazy-4-Nuts, selling cinnamon roasted nuts.
