  Leona (Lee) Elizabeth Cook, 93, entered into her Lord’s presence on Monday, July 8, in Manteca, CA. She was born to the late Earnest McCallom and Lucy Durrett on January 25, 1920 in Revia, OK. She is survived by her devoted husband, Nolan Fayne Cook of Lathrop, son, Mike Cook (Sharron) of Ripon, CA, daughter, Denise Blanchard (Rick) of Ceres, CA, brothers, Mahlon McCallom and Orville Box both of OK, grandchildren, Chris Cook (Katie) of Bakersfield, CA, Eric Gregory of Tupelo, MS, Kayla Blanchard of Ceres, CA and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Marshall of Stockton, CA, sister Ann Duke and brother Perry McCallom, both of OK.
   Lee lived in Fremont, CA, prior to moving to Lathrop in 1972.  She worked 30 years as a nurse’s aide retiring from Dameron Hospital.   She was a long time member of Calvary Community Church of Manteca where she served as a deaconess and volunteered alongside Fayne in visitation, evangelism and in the children’s ministry. For twenty years she and Fayne worked as volunteers with the Lathrop Senior Center where, they dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus to give gifts to children for Christmas.
   Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, July 19 at 10:00am at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, July 20 at 11:00am at Calvary Community Church, 815 W. Lathrop Rd., Manteca, CA.  In her memory charitable and tax deductible donations can be made to Calvary Community Church, 815 W. Lathrop Rd., Manteca, CA. 95336.
