E. David Schneider was the oldest son of Margaret and Dean’s seven children, born in rural Nebraska and growing up on a hard working farm.

He joined the Navy as a young man and served as a Medic in the Philippines during the Korean War.  After discharge he came to California, married and had six children.  For many years David had his own security business with his oldest son, but his real love was the evangelistic work and his many, many missionary trips to introduce Christ and His love to the people in Haiti, Mexico, and Russia.  After a very, very long struggle with his own health, David is finally home, face to face with the Savior he preached about and loved.

David is survived by his wife of 26 years Barbara Schneider of Ripon; his children Alicia Schneider of Ripon, Kristina Schneider of Ripon, Jonathan Schneider of Tracy, Bonita Lovell of Sacramento, Richard Schneider of Manteca, and Nancy Kehr of Lathrop; his sister Leonora Rodgers of Kansas; his brothers Paul Schneider of Nebraska and James Schneider of Southern CA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  David was preceded in death by his parents and two of his brothers.  Per David’s request there will not be any funeral services.  His arrangements are being handled by Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel; please send your condolences and memories to the online guest book at
Manteca (Calif.) Bulletin
