u FEINSTEIN CALLS FOR SD MAYOR’S RESIGNATION: SAN DIEGO (AP) — California Sen. Dianne Feinstein is the latest Democrat to call for the resignation of San Diego Mayor Bob Filner over allegations of sexual harassment.

Feinstein said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that the embattled mayor is unable to “provide the kind of leadership that San Diegans want.”

Filner’s announcement Friday that he will undergo two weeks of full-time therapy defies leaders of his own party who are demanding he step down.

Seven women identified themselves as targets of Filner’s unwanted advances that include touching.

The San Diego County Democratic Party Central Committee voted 34-6 to ask Filner to resign.

The 70-year-old Filner has acknowledged disrespecting and sometimes intimidating women.

u RICK WARREN RETURNS TO PULPIT AFTER SON’S SUICIDE: LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nearly four months after his son’s suicide, popular pastor Rick Warren returned to the pulpit Saturday afternoon at the Southern California megachurch he founded.

Warren, dressed in his usual casual black T-shirt and jeans, took the stage at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. with wife, Kay Warren, and was greeted with a long standing ovation by the congregation.

A shout of “We love you!” came from the crowd before Warren began.

“I love you, too,” a smiling Warren replied. “Have I told you lately that I love you?”

It was the first time Warren had taken the Saddleback pulpit since his 27-year-old son Matthew shot and killed himself on April 5.

In the sermon, first in a series called “How To Get Through What You’re Going Through,” Rick Warren said he had the perfect role model for his struggles.

“God knows what it’s like to lose a son,” Warren said.

He remained mostly composed, but choked back tears at times, including when he thanked his surviving two children.

“How proud I was of Amy and Josh, who for 27 years loved their younger brother,” Warren said. “They talked him off the ledge time after time. They are really my heroes.”

He delivered a formal, prepared speech with notes and quotes from Scripture but often broke off to talk frankly about his son.

u ELDERLY BICYCLER TRIED TO ROB TAHOE BANK, FLED: SOUTH LAKE TAHOE . (AP) — South Lake Tahoe police are seeking help in finding an elderly suspect who started to rob a bank then apparently changed his mind before fleeing on a bicycle.

Police say the white man who entered the El Dorado Savings Bank about 3:30 p.m. Thursday appeared to be in his 70s.

He passed a note to a teller demanding money, but soon took off through the front doors and was seen pedaling away on a white or chrome bike with a girl’s frame, a large basket on the front and a black bag on the back.

u ‘HOLLYWOOD HILLBILLIES’ FEATURES GEORGIA FAMILY: BEVERLY HILLS  (AP) — Honey Boo Boo is getting some competition.

Another family from rural Georgia is coming to reality television, with “Hollywood Hillbillies” set to debut in January on ReelzChannel.

The show follows Michael Kittrell and his grandmother Delores Hughes, known as “Mema,” as the family moves from Grayson, Ga., to Hollywood. Along for the ride are Kittrell’s aunt, Dee Dee Peters, her boyfriend Paul Conlon, and Kittrell’s uncle John Cox.

Kittrell is known as “The Angry Ginger” on YouTube, where a video he made to protest a “South Park” episode that claimed redheads have no soul gained attention.

“I made a lot of money on my YouTube channel, and I saved it all from the past four years,” Kittrell said. “I got my family with me to support me and help me while we all look for our place out here.”

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, her mother and their rural Georgia family are the subjects of a hit TLC show that focuses on their lives in a small town.
