Margaret “Maggie” Martha (Betschart) White, 81, of Duncan, OK passed away on Sunday, July 14th at her home in Duncan.
  Maggie requested that no formal funeral service be held. A private viewing, memorial service was held at Don Grantham Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Harold Metheny of Bethesda Church of God officiating.
   Margaret was born in Sebastopol, CA to Franz “Frank” and Mary Ann (Reichlin) Betschart on January 29, 1932. She attended high school at Manteca High School and graduated in 1949. She went on to earn a Nursing Degree from California State University. Maggie’s nursing career spanned many years, working for Manteca Hospital, Manteca Convalescent Hospital, Palm Haven Nursing Home and doctor’s offices in the Manteca, Ripon and Twain Harte, CA areas.  Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, ceramics, reading, trying out new recipes and listening to classical music. She looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
   Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Franz “Frank” and Mary A. Betschart; brothers Frank L. Betschart, Joseph B. Betschart and Ludwig Betschart and sister Martha R. (Betschart) Ettlin.
   Margaret is survived by her husband Percy “Bud” A. White Sr. of Lawton/Fort Sill Veteran’s Center, Lawton, OK. She leaves three children; son Lonnie White and wife Sheila (Hicks) of Duncan, OK, Lynette “Sis” White of Sonora, CA and son Mark White of Manteca, CA five grandchildren;Julia A. (White) Haro and husband Robert of Anthony, TX, Brian S. White and wife Teresa of Morgan town, WV, Kimberly L (White) Vreeland and husband Paul of Loveland, CO, Wendi (White) Hauger and husband Stephen of Manteca, CA and Ashley White of Tracy, CA. Robert “Bobby” M. Haro, Christian A. Haro and Alexandra J. Haro all of Anthony, TX, Taylor A. White and Kaitlyn E. White both of Morgantown, WV, two sisters; Rosemarie Evans and husband Art of Fortuna, CA and Matilda Stephens of Napa, CA and numerous family members and friends.
