It started as a dream. A dream Anna Eshoo had of owning a yoga studio where people came to rejuvenate their minds, bodies and souls.

“She woke up one morning and envisioned her dream,” said I Am Yoga Wellness Studio Director and instructor Isaac Eshoo. “She sketched the studio on a piece of paper the very next morning and here it is.”

On Aug. 18, 2008, that dream became a reality. Eshoo and longtime friend Tracy Parreira, who met while pursuing their yoga certifications, became I Am Yoga Wellness Studio co-owners and haven’t looked back since.

I Am Yoga in Turlock offers a wide range of yoga classes, from fat-burning athletic sessions to more introspective, meditation-centric sessions.

“We have lots of feel-good stuff programs running in this studio as well,” said Isaac. “Our studio is certified with the Multiple Sclerosis Society so if anyone is struggling with MS symptoms, the society will sponsor them and pay for their yoga classes.”

But I Am Yoga is about more than just yoga. The studio also features Pilates, massage therapy, facials, chiropractors, a sauna, showers, and a small café serving specially blended herbal teas.

“We have created foods and drinks to nourish the soul. We have sought out the best massage therapist and estheticians to rejuvenate your hearts,” said Isaac.  “I Am Yoga recruited the most qualified yoga instructors to inspire the body.”

I Am Yoga spa services include masseuses and estheticians for every person’s massage, facial and relaxation needs. The studio specializes in reflexology, tuina, shiatsu, prenatal massage, Swedish deep tissue, detox foot baths, facials, microdermabrasion and body waxing.

“These services create a balance in your life,” said massage therapist Curtis Souza. “We live in a fast-paced society where at times things can get hectic. With a combination of yoga, you get an inner reflection of who you are.”

All of I Am Yoga’s services are available on either a drop-in basis, via a monthly membership, or through multi-visit packages.

“It’s a marvelous place where everyone is one big family,” said Souza. “It’s a very harmonious environment where it really makes a difference in a person’s life.”

I Am Yoga is located at 2031 Geer Rd., in Turlock. For more information, call (209) 667-8100.
