FAIR OAKS, Ind. (AP) — A northwestern Indiana dairy farm that's a top tourism destination is debuting a new attraction that allows visitors to tour a sprawling building filled with pregnant hogs and litters of piglets.

Fair Oaks Farms' new Pig Adventure is scheduled for its grand opening Monday about 40 miles south of Gary.

Buses powered by methane produced by cow and pig manure will ferry visitors from the farm's popular Dairy Adventure to a nearby pig production site.

That 120,000-square-foot building houses both the hog production facility and a second-floor enclosed, climate-controlled, interactive viewing area for visitors.

The building holds about 2,400 hogs that are either pregnant or soon will be via artificial insemination. Tourists can see sows in labor and newborn piglets.
