Raymond Limas, 85, entered into rest on August 7, 2013 in Modesto, Ca. He was born on November 26, 1927 in Orange County to the late Jesus and Amelia Limas. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his first wife Sunday Limas, siblings, Joe, Jesse, Daniel, Alfred and Arther Limas, his son, Raymond Jr. and his grandson Tony.

Mr. Limas is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years Margaret (Roach) Limas. His children are; Lydia Duenas, Rosalinda Limas and Calvin Roach. He was blessed by 11 grandchildren Mary, Felix, Stephanie, Tabatha, Angel, Johanna, Andrea, Raymond III, Taren, Travis and Elizabeth and several great-grandchildren. In addition Raymond has 4 siblings who survive him; Alfonso Limas, Richard Limas, Jenny Limas, and Annie Limas as well as many nieces and nephews who he cherished.

 Raymond was a resident of Oakdale for the past 13 years; previously of a long- time resident of Manteca. In 1947 Raymond was honorably discharged through the United States Army; where he received many accolades during WWII. He made his career as a mechanic working as a supervisor for Tri-Valley Growers, retiring after 45 years of employment. Raymond was also a farmer by trade. He loved the ranch life and especially loved driving his tractor.  He was a member of the VFW-Ripon, Teamsters 748 and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed trips to local casinos and the M.R.P.S. celebrations. He loved the outdoors as he would stay for weeks at a time at Pismo Beach camping and fishing. Raymond had a gift of being social especially when it came to eating with family and friends. Above all Raymond loved his family and adored his grandchildren; they were his world. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and amazing grandfather and uncle. He will be missed.
 
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Limas family. A visitation will be held on Sunday August 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil service at 4 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, Ca. A prayer service will be on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. also held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
