Sister Ann Venita Britto and her Ministry of Caring is welcoming all seniors to the “Summer Aloha” luncheon planned for Thursday, Aug. 22.

That’s regardless of one’s religious affiliation.

“We want everyone to come (to the St. Anthony Church gymnasium),” she said Monday.

The Ministry of Caring is her volunteers who not only prepare the hot meals but help in making the center pieces and party favors.

Students from St. Anthony School often do their part by serving those in attendance as well as busing tables.

In addition, door prizes made available via donations are up for grabs to visitors. Among the regulars are St. Jude Care Center, Prestige Senior Living, Merrill Garden, The Commons, Valley CAPS, and Almond Blossom.

The luncheon is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Entertainment will be provided by JRP Band. The gym is located at the corner of Fremont and Sutter streets, Manteca.
