An armed gunman made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after brazenly sticking up a McDonald’s drive-thru window Wednesday night in North Manteca.

Shortly before 8:30, an unidentified male pointed a shotgun at a female window attendant and demanded cash. With vehicles blocking his path, the alleged robber drove over the landscaped median strip that separates the McDonald’s drive-thru from the entrance of the neighboring CVS Pharmacy drive-thru and fled west on Lathrop Road with his lights off in a black 1980s American-made pickup truck with dark hubcaps.

The victim of the robbery was reportedly taken to the hospital via ambulance, although she wasn’t believed to be injured during the ordeal.
