Stockton Civic Theatre staging ‘Dreamcoat’

STOCKTON – “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is being staged at the  Stockton Civic Theatre, Nov. 18 through Dec. 13

As the theater’s holiday offering, the show will feature popular actor and choreographer James Reed’s debut as a Director. Musical Direction will be by Jim Coleman.

Originally produced in 1968 as a 20-minute oratorio performed by children at a private school in London, an expanded version followed as a record album and was subsequently performed as a full-scale production in London in 1973.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will feature a special $15 per seat preview on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. A reception for opening night patrons will be held at the theatre on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. with hors de’oeuvres hosted by Kinder’s Meats, Dell & BBQ.

Performances continue through December 13 on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors, and $15 for students and children 12 and under.
