The Lathrop Elementary School was packed with a steady flow of families on Oct. 17 as the school decided to bring back the carnivals of the past at Lathrop, originally started by the Mother’s Club back in the late 1950s.  Families got to choose between games such as “Goldfish, Sack Races, Lotteria, Sweet Treat Walk, Creamed, and many more. There were, at least 20 games were available to everyone.  In addition to the games, there was a silent auction and a raffle.  These were to raise money for classroom supplies and other school needs. The Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department came to challenge the dads to a game of Tug Of War.  However, once the firemen lost that pull, the challenge continued for the moms, but the ones that pulled off the real win were the kids.
