The Manteca Cowboys youth football organization swept for a second straight week in DYSA NorCal Youth Football League action, but it came easier this time around.

With the varsity team winning by forfeit, it was the junior varsity capping the Saturday night in Lodi with a resounding 55-20 win.

The offense hit on all cylinders as two Cowboys rushers ran for more than 100 yards while quarterback Manuel Rodriguez threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Drew Mount was his most productive receiver, as he collected 100 yards and two touchdowns — one of them a one-handed grab.

Jordan Doyle spearheaded the ground attack with 166 yards and three scores. He had one of the early highlights when he broke for a 51-yard jaunt to paydirt. Anthony Martinez contributed 122 yards and a TD while piling up six tackles on defense.

Mathew Pilkay was an all-around contributor. He quietly racked up 60 yards rushing and a score, 51 yards receiving and eight tackles.

Ismael Munoz and Gabriel Vollotton (forced fumble) each tallied seven tackles. Presley Demello (forced fumble) finished with six tackles.
