East Union standout sophomore Brooke Riley continued to play impressive golf on Wednesday afternoon.

Riley shot a 2-under 35 at the Manteca Park Golf Course and took medalist honors during a lopsided 216-322 victory over visiting Oakdale.

Riley is currently ranked No. 1 in Northern California for her age group.

“She’s playing great,” East Union head coach Brian Goulart said. “We have some super-skilled young ladies, but (Riley) is super special.

“The girls just work hard. They practice all summer long and you can see it pays off every time they take a swing.”

Brittany Ugalino shot a 42, respectively. Jordan Vinson (45), Breanna Perkins (47) and Brittany Conijn (48) rounded out the Lancers’ total. Rebeca Leonard shot 56.
