Plans at Ripon Unified will call for Weston Elementary School’s remodeling to include a new multi-use building within a budget of $10.4 million.

At Monday’s school board meeting in the Ripon Council Chamber, 259 N. Wilma Ave., the Program Management Integration team will be on hand to provide the monthly progress update.

Thus far, a series of workshops were conducted, providing detailed information about the proposed options.

Trustees, at their previous meeting, approved the proposed reconstruction plan.

They’ll now have a chance to see a schematic design consisting of the kindergarten- through- third- grade classroom floor plans; the fourth- through- eighth- grade classroom floor plans; and the new gym floor plan.

The board will also receive a detailed design schedule on the project made possible last November by voter-approved Measure G.

Other items on the agenda include:

•The board accepting a trailer for the RUSD Operation Department as a gift from the Ripon High FFA.

•Dr.Sergei Samborski giving an update on the upstart Ripon Continuation High School.

•Trustees discussing the Local Control Funding Formula. School districts are required to update the state Board of Education on the change to the adopted budget within 45 days of the state budget adoption.

•The board will consider modification on next month’s meeting, from Oct. 14 to Oct. 7.

•Trustees could also hire school facility consultants for the update on a developer fee justification study.
