Aquila against bombing because Obama is for it

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Selective memory seems to be a GOP affliction both nationally and locally. I am speaking, of course, about the “Your View” letter on Sept. 5 (“Why would Obama want to engage in Syria?”), by Frank Aquila.
Aquila’s outrage about Obama causing a “disruption” in the Middle East with his request of Congress to support a limited punitive strike against Syria over the Assad regime using Sarin gas against the Syrian rebels, killing hundreds, including women and children. Aquila seems to forget he supported John McCain who wanted to bomb Iran. Remember the “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran” song McCain sang for all of us? Doesn’t Aquila think that action may have been a little disruptive as well?

Does he not remember the Bush Administration WMD lies that took us into a war in Iraq and subsequently took thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives. Remember that the Iraqi WMDs have been proven as false regardless of Aquila’s fruitless attempt to make us all believe the non-existent WMDs were moved to Syria making making detractors look like “fools”. The now documented truth of the matter was the WMD lies made “Fools” of the American People.
I wonder why Aquila failed to mention McCain? McCain is pushing for the strike even harder than Obama himself, even adding more “involvement” with aid to Syrian Rebels. Does Aquila think that McCain is also a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood for his support of the “srike” as he claims Obama is for asking for Congressional support?
Aquila even takes a step further claiming Syria and Iran “announcing an attack on Israel in retaliation”. Funny that I couldn’t find anything like that, did you? Speculation maybe but there was plenty of that on the Mayan Calendar announcing the end of the world.
Aquila should admit, like the Tea Party folks he parties with, that the real reason he is against the strike is because Obama is for it. If Obama was against it, Aquila would be for it. Admit it already! The Tea Party Congressional Hearing members grilling Secretary of State, John Kerry and Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel made that loud and clear, bringing up non-issues like “Fast and Furious”, the IRS and of course (What would a Tea Party group hearing be without it), the President’s Birth Certificate.
Even more ridiculous was yesterday’s radio show with the de-facto head of the GOP, Rush Limbaugh. Rush now claims Obama was complicit  in the gas attack in Syria, that he had knowledge of and was actually involved with the whole thing just so he could have a reason to attack a sovereign nation. Remind you of someone who did actually do something like that Aquila?
