Club special notes

 

• MOVIE NIGHT: is held every Friday night at 5:30 p.m. in the junior games room.

• BASKETBALL LEAGUES: Volunteer coaches are needed for Rookie League ages 7 to 9 and Junior League ages 10 to 12. Sign-ups are now underway for the 7 - 9, 10 - 12 leagues. Tryout dates, Rookies January 5, at 6 p.m. Juniors January 7, at 6 p.m. See JR Reed for more information on sign-ups or on volunteer coaching.

• KARATE CLASS: Free karate classes will be offered from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Advanced classes are $35 a month and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., instructor is Robin Taberna. Robin holds a fifth degree in black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Adults are welcome to join either class by paying a $35 monthly fee.

• SMART MOVES CLASS: Ages 6 - 9, Tuesday at 6 to 7:30 p.m.;  Ages 10 - 12, Wednesdays at 6 p.m. this class will go over the following: Self-Esteem Building, Role Playing Activities, Finding Ways to Say “No,” Decision-Making Skills, Discussions on Peer Pressure, Media Stereotypes, Good vs. Bad Drugs, Drug Myths vs. Drug Facts, Defining Bullying to find out information on this program or how to sign up see Laurie Myers.

• HEALTHY HABITS: Ages 6 - 8, Thursday at 6 - 7:30 p.m.; ages 9 - 12, Fridays, 6 - 7:30 p.m. This class will go over the following introductions to “My Pyramid, basic food groups, what makes a healthy diet, balance diet, held to make healthy food choices, energy snacks vs. junk food. Nutrition and vitamins, equals happy & healthy kids, healthy eating every day. Eating from all food groups daily, dental care is important, to find out information this program or how to sign up see Laurie Myers.
