Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

I am writing to clarify a reference to me in a recent article. I am definitely running for the open seat on the Manteca City Council. The appropriate paperwork has been filed, and I am an official candidate for office next year. My campaign is based on the belief that Manteca is a great family city, with many good features, wonderful people and limitless possibilities. To continue our progress, we need to move forward, building on past successes and preparing, with honesty and integrity, for the future.

With my experience, knowledge, long history of civic involvement and community service, I believe I can represent my fellow citizens well, bringing my common sense approach and fiscal responsibility to the City Council. As the campaign unfolds, I will bring forward specific ideas and listen, with the utmost respect, to what the people of Manteca want for our town. I bring years of work experience with large financial accounting systems, extensive management skills, and a working knowledge of police and fire department operations, to the table.

Those two key factors: common sense and fiscal responsibility, will serve as the base for every decision, every vote, every discussion I make if the good people of Manteca see fit to elect me. I pledge that my service will be representing the people of our community, doing what’s best for Manteca and building a better city for our children, grandchildren and all that follow us.
