The Sacramento Kings had their biggest game for the season on Dec. 28 when they played the World Champions Boston Celtics.  Not only was the game a sell out, but also Olympian Michael Phelps was in attendance to receive his key to Sacramento, his own Kings jersey, and even got to sit courtside to see Manteca’s Dance and Cheer Stars.

The entertainment director for the Sacramento Kings noticed the competition dancers from Dance and Cheer Stars at a local performance. The Kings called Dance and Cheer Stars in June to see if they would be interested in performing at the game, meet the players, and to be a part of the High 5 squad. The High 5 Squad is when the performers get to stay for warm ups and give high 5’s to the players and stay on the court while they do their drills, right before the game.

Dance and Cheer Stars owner, Harmony Flores said the performance was a secret until her dancers’ last competition of the season that took place in Las Vegas. Dance and Cheer Stars performed their 5 1/2-minute production number called ‘Immaculate Collection’ which is a remix of Madonnna’s Classics.
