The offensive line was the difference in the Manteca PeeWee Jaguars’ shutout victory on Saturday afternoon.

With plenty of protection and time to pick apart the Merced Bears defense, quarterback Ryan Borgeson accumulated 82 yards of total offense and a touchdown, highlighting the Jaguars’ 12-0 win.

Borgeson rushed for 70 yards and passed for another 12. Jesse Miranda also finished with a touchdown reception for Manteca.

The defense was stellar, too.

Payton Graham and Jamari Hodge anchored a unit that surrendered just three first downs. Graham finished with an interception and Hodge had two pass break-ups and an onside kick recovery.

It was a long afternoon for the Jaguars.

Jordan Davis had an interception, one of the few good moments in a 40-0 loss to the Bears.

Ryan Zimmerman, Jose Ceja, Leonardo Bonilla and Evan Ott earned the coaching staff’s praise.

The Jaguars rolled to a 28-12 win over the Merced Bears.
