The final hidden Manteca Bulletin golden pumpkin worth $100 was located at 3:15 a.m. Thursday by a Manteca woman who said she was puzzled by one clue that suggested it might be found by a French restaurant.

Carly Sinclair-Strickland said she found a rush of pumpkin hunters in the parking lot competing to find the $100 golden gourd with their flashlights in hand.

The clues were as follows:

• Bobbing for apples: A reference to the nearby Applebee’s

• It’s part of Manteca’s sweet legacy: The site used to be part of the Spreckels Sugar

• Is that a French restaurant next door? There is a Jack-in-the-Box nearby that comedians have referred as Jacque-in-the-box.
