MODESTO — First United Methodist Church at 16th and I Streets in downtown Modesto is holding its 17th Annual “Home for the Holidays” event Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event has become a community tradition where hand-crafted, homemade, home grown, and estate collected items will be displayed for sale throughout the first floor of the church.

The traditional “Apple Orchard Brunch” featuring our famous omelet bar, waffle bar is always a favorite. Don’t miss this culinary masterpiece. This is a great way to treat friends and neighbors. The brunch hours are 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $7 ages 5 to 12, and free for ages 4 and under. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Deanne Salter at 522-8270 or the FUMC office at 522-9046.

The day offers a bit of “class” and a bit of country” with lots of fun for the whole family. Part of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity and Interfaith Ministries, and part will help fund global mission projects throughout the world.
