31st Annual German Advent service in Manteca Nov. 29

United Lutheran Church in Manteca will hold the traditional German Advent Service on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m.

This marks the 31st year for this event. It is a celebration of the Advent season with the service and music entirely in the German language. Pastor Lange of Merced will lead the worship and the Heimat Choir from Stockton will sing traditional German Christmas carols. And following the worship service there will be a reception for everyone in the church social hall with special German treats and beverages.
