Shortly before the Central Valley Association of Realtors’ largest local  community fundraising effort —the Can Tree Breakfast — two members were honored for their philanthropic efforts.

Kris Klair was named Realtor of the Year by CVAR. The Realtor of the Year award is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of the association. It represents those with outstanding achievements serving the CVAR, the real estate profession and the community.

Klair began his real estate career in 2004, then opened his EXIT Realty franchise in 2006. As the broker/CEO of several EXIT Realty Consultants offices located in the Central Valley, from Manteca to Fresno, he humbly accepted the award. Klair stated that he feels his EXIT team/family deserves the recognition, as he truly believes he would not have this success without them.

Klair is currently on the board of directors for the California Association of Realtors, Central Valley Association of Realtors, and Ceres Chamber of Commerce, all while also serving on the City of Turlock’s Economic Development Task Force.

Through EXIT’s Helping Hands Program, he and his team are heavily involved in community events, fundraisers and charity events. He gives credit to his phenomenal team. Most recently, EXIT Realty Consultants hosted a drive-thru BBQ for breast cancer awareness, led by the Ceres office. EXIT and Klair were also involved in the Turlock and Modesto Can Tree breakfasts, which provides food during the holiday season for families and seniors less fortunate. The events were a success, due in part by his management personnel.

Taylor Phillips was named the Affiliate of the Year by CVAR. Phillips is the advertising manager at the Turlock Journal.

Phillips is a board of directors member on the local counsel of the Central Valley Association of Realtors and Exchange Club of Turlock. He has served o the Turlock Can Tree Breakfast committee, Police Athletic League crab feed committee, and has faithfully volunteered his time ringing the red kettle bell during the holidays for the Salvation Army.

“It has been over 15 years since I have worked in the community that I live in. I am pleased to be able to donate my time to helping benefit our town and it’s not so fortunate members. I feel honored to receive this award especially when I work beside so many others who are just as deserving,” Phillips said.
