Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

I don’t normally respond to letters from Larry Baca.  He has his right to disagree with me and express his opinion.  While I try to bring issues of importance and relevance, noted by references, Larry uses his letters to criticize any conservative opinion with a mixture of insults he may think are humorous as he preaches to his own choir as the bugle boy for the Obama administration.

My recent letter, Christmas, Israel, Iran and the prophesies, was written to inform the reader that 90% of the noted biblical prophesies are fulfilled in the Bible as our government is implementing policies that are setting up the fulfillment of the remaining prophesies.  Larry responded with lies causing me to set the record straight.  Larry claims I told him that the earth is a couple thousands of  years old and we used to live like the Flintstones, with dinosaurs roaming around.  False.  Many have asked me if Larry and I have ever met.  No. However, we did speak on the phone about five years ago.  In a discussion about evolution, I explained to Larry that I believe in creation and that God created Adam and Eve and there is much evidence to support creation.  Evolution is a theory created about 100 years ago to doubt the existence of God.  I do not believe in the evolutionary theory.  This is what makes the Bible so powerful!

While I noted there are many that believe the Bible is a book of fictitious stories, no one can take away that the Bible is 100% accurate.  For example, Job 26:10 and Isaiah 40:22 both point out the earth is circular.  Historic records show that those on the earth believed the earth was flat until Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.  If the earth were actually flat, those that are atheist would point to the simplest verses to show the discrepancies and claim the Bible to be false.  How does one begin to explain such historical, structural, prophetic, doctrinal, and spiritual congruency apart from the fact that its real author is God?  I feel Larry and other atheists who want to remove God from society should consider the fact that the Bible is comprised of 66 Books written over a couple thousand years by over 40 different authors in three different languages on three different continents. Many of those authors were executed for their writings and were from all walks of life, with different personalities, and in all sorts of situations.  Yet, the Bible fits together into one cohesive story with an appropriate beginning, a logical ending, a central character, and a consistent theme.  Larry may be interested in his version of the Bible.  Maybe that version has the earth as flat; but I am not aware of any other Bible that says that.  Maybe Larry could show me.
