OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco will wear a brace on his left knee Sunday against the New England Patriots, a precautionary move in the wake of the injury he sustained Monday night in Detroit. Before Justin Tucker sent his 61-yard kick sailing toward the uprights in an 18-16 win, the Ravens collectively held their breath when Flacco’s knee buckled upon being struck by the helmet of oncoming Lions lineman DeAndre Levy.

Bills’ Manuel out

Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel is closing the season much like he opened it, facing questions about yet another knee injury. Manuel is out after being hurt in a 27-20 win at Jacksonville on Sunday.

Schaub to start

Matt Schaub will start at quarterback on Sunday for Houston against Denver and interim coach Wade Phillips expects him to receive a better reception than he did the last time he played at Reliant Stadium.
