Graveside memorial services for Robert Lee Garrett, 59 of Pryor were held  2 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, OK.  Services were under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Pryor, OK.

Mr. Garrett was born January 12, 1950 in Joplin, MO to Delmer and L. Jane (Akers) Garrett.  He died November 15, 2009 in Chouteau, OK.  Robert grew up in Pryor, OK and graduated from Pryor High School in 1968.  He then moved to California.  Robert was married to Jeannie Petersen on October 31, 1974.  They moved back to Pryor in 1987.  Robert was a truck driver who truly loved his job.  Robert enjoyed reading, his dogs and cats, playing cards, watching sports and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife Jeannie of the home; three sons, Theodore Lee Garrett of Pryor, OK, Benjamin Garrett of Chouteau, OK, and Rob Thomas of Manteca, CA; two daughters, Angel Plata of Manteca, CA and Jeana VanSandt of Ketchum, OK; 17 grandchildren, Katelyn Garrett, Alex Garrett, Anthony Garrett, Skye Melton, Brooke Melton, Wyona Booth, Luke Plata, Alicia Vail, Mallori Titus, Chris VanSandt, Joseph VanSandt, Nick VanSandt, Boomer Plata, Alli Plata, Nathan Thomas, James Thomas and Paige Thomas; six great grandchildren; sister, L. June Garrett of Tulsa; and a host of other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
