Melvern “Mel” Wiltz, passed away in an automobile accident on Sunday, January 19, 2014 in French Camp, CA. He was born on January 16, 1992 in Stockton, Ca. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Patricia Wiltz, and his maternal grandparents Russell and Edwina Edwards. Mel is survived by his parents Melvern Wiltz Jr. of Texas and Lenore Wiltz of Stockton. He has four siblings; Vonceil Wiltz of Stockton, Fannessa Wiltz of Las Vegas, Cordell Wiltz and Donavon Wiltz both of Texas. In addition, Mel has one surviving grandfather, Melvern Wiltz Sr. and many aunts, uncles and extended  family members who loved him dearly.
Mel spent most of his life in Manteca and Stockton and recently moved to Ukiah. He was employed at Ross Stores and Coyote Valley Casino in Ukiah. He attended Manteca schools graduating from East Union High School in 2010. He loved playing basketball;  he played for Neil Hafley and East Union High School. Mel had a huge heart, and as a result, had many, many friends. His love for animals was incredible and he enjoyed playing video games and socializing with friends. He enjoyed traveling with friends especially taking day trips to San Francisco where he loved Baker Beach. Mel could never turn down a home-cooked meal particularly when it came to authentic Creole dishes made by his family. Mel will be remembered for his fun-filled full of life personality; where he strived to put a smile on your face and laughter in your heart.
