Dean Uecker is seeking another term on the Ripon City Council.

He’ll look to file soon at the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters office in Stockton to make a run for a second four-year term.

Mayor Chuck Winn, however, already announced his future plans – the San Joaquin County 4th Supervisorial District.

“Last spring, I told the City Council that I would not be running for another term,” he said on Wednesday.

He indicated that about two months later he was asked if he would consider running for seat currently occupied by Ken Vogel.

In this Board of Supervisor race, Winn, who served 37 years with the California Highway Patrol, will be going up against another Ripon resident Manuel Lopez, a retired county Chief Administrative Officer, and Wine & Roses owner Russ Munson in Lodi.

Ripon was added to the Fourth District in 2011 during redistricting of the five supervisor boundaries.
