MODESTO – Modesto Junior College Dance and Theatre will present Off~Balance in Repertory Concert on Feb. 19, 20, 21, and 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. in the MJC Performing and Media Arts Center Auditorium. “It’s All About What Inspires You…” is the theme of this year’s performance.

The MJC Off~Balance Dance Company is an eclectic ensemble of young and mature artists that perform with physicality, integrity and grace, and a belief that through movement, the spoken word may be revealed. The program will showcase stunning and emotional modern and contemporary dance performances.

The concert will be choreographed by MJC students Rebbecca Meyers, Blair Shearer-Pope and Heidi Farris, as well as by guest choreographer Phillip Flickinger of Diavolo Dance Company and a professor of dance at California State University, Sacramento, and by MJC dance faculty Lori Bryhni and Kim T. Davis.

“The evening’s choreography of images is framed by thought and perception with works of art unfolding with each moment of movement and gesture,” said Professor Bryhni.

Tickets are $5 for Preview Night on Feb. 19 and are $10 general admission and $8 for students and seniors for all other performances. Tickets are available in advance at the MJC Auditorium Box Office on East Campus (beginning February 4), Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. or by calling (209) 575-6776 during these hours. Tickets are also available online at and at the Box Office 90 minutes prior to each performance.
