The Manteca Historical Museum family of supporters is preparing for the upcoming 22nd annual Gourmet Sampler on Sunday, March 9.

Twenty-six booths featuring purveyors of fine food and beverages will be hosting the event in the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane. The doors open at 1 p.m. for three hours of tasting samples of food and drink by members of the public.

Richard Benavides & Friends will provide toe-tapping music near a display of early Manteca photographs adding a touch of nostalgia with tickets at $20 for adults and $7 for children under 12.

Those participating in the event will include Angelano’s Restaurant, Billy Hills BBQ, Carneceria Rosita, Chuck’s Place, Costco, Delicato Family Vineyards, Edible Arrangements, Ernie’s Food and Spirits, Guido Pizza, Hong Kong Restaurant, Isadore’s Restaurant, Kitty’s Kitchen, Le Croissant Bakery, Mike’s, Miner Mart Liquors, New China, Safeway, Save Mart Stores, Subway Sandwiches, Tony & Mrs. K’s Bakery & Café, Jesus Mountain Coffee, Weber’s BBQ plus fresh old-fashion popcorn and hand-dipped ice cream served by museum volunteers.

An array of special items will be offered for sale at the Museum Gift Shop Booth and a big raffle will close the afternoon. 

Tickets are limited to advance sales and limited in number. They are available at the Museum during the regular hours and from many members’ stores. Those include German Glas Werks, Guido’s Pizza, Tipton’s Stationery, Delta Bank or by calling the ticket chair Phyllis Abram at 239.0744. 

The Gourmet has been a major fundraiser for the Historical Society for more than two decades.
