My dad was always very proud of his raven black hair and raven black mustache. When his 40th birthday rolled around, the first gray hair appeared. But he didn't get discouraged by the obvious sign of aging. He simply got his hair and mustache colored the darkest shade of black during his regular hair trim every month. Join the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 500 as they remember the Fallen Veterans from California who were either killed in action or are currently prisoners of war or missing in action the Vietnam War during the 15th annual Reading of the Names Ceremony at California State Capitol Park on Sunday, May 25, at noon. Before the ceremony, at 7 a.m., volunteers will start reading the approximately 5,823 names found on the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 15-minute intervals.

They lobbied the city into creating a three-way stop at the corner of Foxfire and Crom Street, citing concerns about speeding cars zooming right past children walking to and from Stella Brockman Elementary School.
