Modesto Nuts host ‘Knock Cancer Out of the Park’

MODESTO – The public is invited to "Knock Cancer Out of the Park" with Memorial Medical Center and the Modesto Nuts on Saturday, June 9, when the Nuts challenge the Bakersfield Blaze at John Thurman Field in Modesto. The event will highlight breast cancer awareness and feature valuable health information, fireworks and a great night of baseball.

Propeller falls on Manteca home

A propeller snapped off the drive shaft of a small T Mini Max aircraft Tuesday afternoon, falling over 2,000 feet onto the tile roof of a home east of the Del Webb at Woodbridge before the plane glided into a plowed field west of Airport Way and south of Louise Avenue 1.5 miles away.
