• HISTORY ERROR: In Monday's front page story on the history of the Manteca Fire Department, it was incorrectly stated that the Palace of Amusement was located "directly across from where Kelley Brothers Brewing Co. is located today." That was another location that showed movies. The Palace of Amusement was located approximately where a parking lot is now located on the south side of Accent Carpets in the 100 block of North Main Street (called Hogan Road in the early days).
