• SEXUAL ASSAULT: On Oct. 13, Manteca Patrol Officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Oak Street in regard to a physical domestic dispute. Officers Beermann and Espinosa responded, and met with the reporting party, who identified herself as the girlfriend of the suspect, Timothy Valentine. The reporting party reported she observed Valentine involved in a sexual act with a 17-year-old female, and when she confronted him, he physically assaulted her. She then immediately telephoned the Police Department. Officer Beermann located Valentine in a back room. The 17-year-old female was also in the room, partially clothed, and ...

Manteca Fire Department briefs

• FIRE, NORTH UNION ROAD, OCT. 17: Manteca firefighters responded to a structure fire on North Union Road early Thursday morning. Upon arrival, they observed flames through the window of a detached garage. Firefighters immediately began an aggressive fire attack, and were successful in knocking down the fire before it could extend to the nearby home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
