Stolen vehicle leads to 2 arrests

A 4 a.m. car stop on Louise Boulevard Monday just south of East Louise Avenue yielded two arrests and the recovery of a Manteca vehicle that had been taken on Sunday, according to Manteca Police.

Sixty years ago, on June 16, 1951, the inaugural games of the 1951 City Softball League season got under way here with both the YMI and the City Cash Market teams winning their games by identical scores.
