Tree, leaf collection ends Jan. 20

The City of Manteca will end its annual Christmas tree collection and lead collection programs on Friday, Jan. 20. All residents who wish to participate are requested to place leaves and Christmas trees only in loose piles in the street. Leaves should be at least one foot out from the curb gutter. Make sure that leaves do not clog the gutter and block the flow of rainwater. The City's street sweepers will be collecting the leaves on regular street sweeping days, which occur every other week in residential areas. Leaves bagged in plastic will not be picked up.
