Great Valley offers summer classes for children

MODESTO – The Great Valley Museum of Modesto Junior College is holding six weeks of science and nature oriented classes for children ages 4–9 starting June 20. These popular programs cover a wide variety of topics ranging from animal adventures and science experimentation to artistic endeavors.

The 21st Annual Sunrise Kiwanis Fishing Derby and Safety Fair will take place on Saturday, May 11 from, from 7 to 11 (or while the fish last). This free event is for youth ages 15 and younger. It will be held in the CVS parking lot at Lancaster and North Main. This fun event is sponsored annually by Sunrise Kiwanis, the Parks and Recreation Department and Youth Advisory Commission.
